Alcohol content: 14.5% vol.
Our Susumaniello Rosso 2023 comes from selected grapes grown in Puglia on limestone-clay soils. The slightly late harvest allows for high polyphenolic concentration and aromatic ripeness.
🍷 Sensory profile
-
Color: deep ruby red with deep violet hues.
-
Nose: broad and complex. Notes of ripe blackberry and plum intertwine with hints of cherries in spirit, sweet tobacco, cocoa and vanilla, with elegant balsamic and spicy undertones.
-
Taste: structured and enveloping, with ripe tannins well smoothed by aging in wood. Important volume on the palate, balance between alcohol component and freshness, long finish with returns of black fruit and sweet spices.
🌿 Vinification and aging
Temperature-controlled fermentation with prolonged maceration on the skins to maximize extraction of color and structure.
Subsequent aging in oak barrels for several months, aimed at harmonizing the tannic texture and enriching the flavor profile with spicy and roasted notes. Final rest in bottle before release.🍽 Matching
